WHY DID I RUN FOR CITY COUNCIL?
My wife Leslie and I are raising our family in Rockwall. We love
this community and want to do our part to help the City
strengthen services, programs, and overall quality of life.

WHAT IS MY FOCUS?

• Avoid tax increases
• Strengthen essential City services
• Invest appropriately in City infrastructure
• Ensure a healthy and adequate water supply
• Expand retail / commercial / industrial tax base
• Protect property values
• Maximize use of every City tax dollar

WHO IS SCOTT MILDER?

• Husband of Leslie Latham Milder
• Father of Thomas, Grace, and Mandy
• Christian, American, Texan, Conservative
• Local business owner of OUR HOUSE Event Venue
• University of North Texas graduate
  (bachelor’s and master’s degrees)
• Rockwall resident since 2001
• Member, Lake Pointe Church

Milder has fought to strengthen emergency services with continued investment in Rockwall Fire and Police personnel and equipment, with NO tax increase.

We have many great people working to keep our city safe. It’s important these great folks have the backup, manpower, resources, and systems in place they need to do their jobs safely.

Re Elect Scott MilderOther points of pride during Milder’s tenure on the Rockwall City Council include:

Discovering e-cig vapor shops were selling to minors and leading Council to prohibit those sales.
Leading Council to increase minimum square footage requirements for housing developers from 1800 SF to 2400 square feet to discourage low quality starter home builders.
Supporting investment in several new parks, including the barrier-free playground that allows wheelchair-bound residents to engage in play with their children.
Breathing new life into youth baseball/softball, more than doubling participation.
Rejecting apartment developments and low-income housing projects.
Advocating for the sale and redevelopment of the Harbor (great things to come in 2017!).
Persuading Council to increase street maintenance budget by 70 percent, no tax increase.
Initiating updates of local code to reduce compliance burdens on our small business community.
